Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How much does a recording session cost?
A. Please see our Rates page.

Q. Can we use our own engineer?
A. Yes, if the engineer is qualified and has been checked out and approved by the studio. The scheduled session time must be made for a time when the owner is available to open and close the studio. The engineer rents the studio and will charge you his/her rate.

Q. How long will it take to record?
A. We don't know. There are many factors to take into consideration. Please see The Recording Process

Q. Can you mix tracks that I've recorded at home or in another studio?
A. Yes, as long as they can be converted to 24 bit wave files.

Q. Are you affiliated with a record label or promotion company that will market our demo?
A. Nope, we just do the recording.

Q. Can we come in early to set up?
A. Setting up is part of the process that the engineer is directly involved in, so set up begins at your scheduled time.

Q. Can I come see the studio before I book a session?
A. Sure, we encourage all new clients to schedule a tour before recording. Please see our Contact  page to schedule your tour.

Q. What do I need to bring?
A. Musicians are usually more comfortable playing with their own equipment, so most clients bring the stuff they normally use. Please see our Equipment page.
Rappers and solo vocalists using backing tracks should bring the tracks (or beats) on an audio CD. It helps the engineer if you can supply a copy of the music/lead sheet or a copy of the lyrics.

Q. Do you make beats?
A. We only make exclusive beats by contract. Please Contact  us for more information.

Q. Do you supply studio musicians?
A. We know many talented musicians that we can put you in touch with. They will charge you independantly from the studio. Our in house engineer plays many instruments and will play for you at no additional charge over the studio rate.

Q. What styles of music do you record?
A. We've recorded everything from Bluegrass to Opera. Heavy metal groups must consist of accomplished professional musicians.

Q. Do you do mastering?
A. Not really. Our equipment is multi-track recording based. Please see The Recording Process
